Mexico City pleasantly surprised us by being so clean and user friendly. The parks were beautiful and plentiful. It was always so easy to escape "city" and be surrounded by trees, fountains, flowers, benches.....
The streets were alive with character, personality, people, cafes and such a life force that one can easily understand why mother earth is reclaiming the city (largest city in the world is sinking....!)
There is an army of street cleaners that comes out every night to sweep clean the detritus of the day.
