Corazon Gitano meets Stephen King

We pulled into this "RV park" for the night. We were the only ones there. Beautiful old trees and piles of construction supplies and heavy machinery. A nice old guy named Nacho and I negotiated, mostly in Spanish, for the payment. We left as soon as we could the next morning, but it was a quiet night.

Huatabampo!

Miles of beaches. We have GOT to come back to this place. There's a cute little park with plenty of space, right on the beach.

San Carlos

All over the place we've been running into Canadians. Northie is speaking a lot more French than I am Spanish. We've met some friends who we're planning on meeting up with again in Mazatlan.

Last May when we were in Puerto Penasco on vacation we met Julia on the beach in her RV with her 2 dogs and cat. We talked about meeting up again this winter, without making any specific plans. Guess who was getting out of her RV as we came back from the beach this afternoon? What a great reunion.

Leaving tomorrow morning early.

Hola Amigos!

So far, we have driven through snow and rain and a rightous full moon (at perigee) on the day we began our gypsy adventure. We are still transitioning from a New Mexico state of mind to a Mexico way of life. After our stop at the beach in Puerto Penasco, we headed West and now South as we make our way to the Tropic of Cancer. We will be resting our heads tonight in Hermosillo (check your maps) and head for the beach once again in the morning.

We are still tweeking things, but all of our hard work and planning is paying off big time. We are still best friends and are having a fun adventure. And we've only been at it a week.

Puerto Penasco

Well, here we are in Puerto Penasco. Picked up the bus and headed to the beach. We have been working hard to set up the bus for the trip. Looks like we'll be here for two days and then start heading south.

First Stop

We had a very nice stay in Truth or Consequences on our way out of New Mexico. Stayed overnight and left early.
